Keeping Up With...Food (Meal Plan for Oct 27 - Nov 2)

We did pretty good last week sticking to our meal plan even though there were some changes to our schedule.  We followed everything until Friday night when we all got home from work and school and were just exhausted.  I decided to just make pasta for everyone so we had something quick and easy that everyone would eat.  Adrian and AJ didn't end up going camping this weekend since the weather was horrible so I was going to make the chicken on Saturday night for all of us but we decided to be lazy and order dinner instead.  We enjoyed wraps from Piada and they were a really nice treat!!

This week is another busy one with lots of extra stuff because it's Halloween.  We have a few Halloween events this week that will require easy meals.  Plus I'm still working just about everyday so I don't have a lot of time to cook during the week.  And unfortunately I didn't get any meal prep done this weekend so that will make this week a little harder for me.  I did find this meal on sale at Aldi last week so we are going to try it in the slow cooker one day this week.
Here's what we're eating this week:
Sunday - Ribs in the instant pot and Brussels Sprout Salad
Monday - Green Chili Chicken and Kale - carryover from last week
Tuesday - Pork Roast in the slow cooker
Wednesday - Tomatillo Drumsticks and whatever veggies I feel like making
Thursday - Jets pizza!  Our Halloween traditional meal
Friday - Apricot Chicken Thighs and whatever veggies I feel like making
Saturday - We're going out on a double date with friends for dinner and ax throwing so we'll just cook something quick for the boys.

Water Flavor - Mango.  It's my favorite and it's on sale right now so I'll probably grab one each week and use it for my water until they aren't on sale anymore.

Overnight Oats - It was great to get back to eating these last week.  I used a blueberry yogurt and it was so good.  This week I'll be using a few flavored yogurts as well to make them including a peanut butter crunch yogurt that I'm very excited about!

Use it Up - I am finishing up using all of the chicken that was in my deep freezer this week using both the drumsticks and thighs that I have down there.  Then I will move on to our pork shelf.  This is an easier way to clean out and restock the deep freeze for me.  This is also our last week of our CSA so we'll be using up all of the veggies we have from that over the next few weeks.  Not sure how I'll use them this week but I'm mostly focusing on the meats and then will decide on veggies each day.

Lunches - I totally forgot to think about this for the week!  I have a lot of lettuce so I'll probably just have salads this week.  I also have half a head of cabbage left so I may do a salad with that if I get really motivated, or have a day off this week.

Keeping up with...Family (Weekly Wrap 10/18 - 10/24)

Friday (10/18) This has been a weird week and today is another weird day.  AJ got to sleep in a little this morning because he is not going to school.  Adrian also opted to sleep in a little, but I got up at my normal time to have a little time to myself with my coffee and the Real Housewives.  We got Daniel up at normal time and Adrian helped me get him ready and then I dropped him off at school and Adrian headed to work.  Then I got Zak up and ready and my friend picked him up to take him to school for me so I could go sub this morning at Eastpointe preschool before finishing my day at West for the afternoon.

While we were all at work and school for the day, AJ headed out to celebrate his friend Landon's birthday.  Landon's parents picked AJ up and took them out for the day.  They had breakfast at Bob Evans (pancakes and bacon) then headed to COSI for the afternoon.  They did the space, ocean and dinosaur exhibits and played in both of the outside parks.  Then they were having so much fun together, they decided to go get dinner at Skyline Chili and then go see the second Maleficent movie that opened today.  AJ had so much fun and was gone for almost 12 hours on his own!  Landon's parents said he did great and was very polite and well behaved all day.

After school, it was just me, Daniel and Zak.  We did a few things around the house and had a quick snack before getting costumes on and heading out to a friend's church for their trunk or treat event.  We did a fun hayride in the field, then had dinner of hot dogs and chili.  Then the kids played gaga ball and in the bounce houses while the parents chatted.  We finished up the night with the kids getting tons of candy at the trunk or treat part.  It was a super fun and low key event and a perfect way to kick off our Halloween celebrations!
When we all got home, we were all worn out.  Adrian was at CABS for the night so it was just me and the boys.  I got them thru their night routine and down to bed.  While I was doing that, Adrian surprised us and came home earlier than he usually does.  He helped finish up bedtime and then watched the Buckeyes game.  I watched some but got bored since it was a blow out and headed to bed around halftime.  It was a super fun Friday, but I was exhausted!!

Saturday (10/19) Today started a little earlier than I wanted it to since I was so tired, but at least I got to sleep in a little, as did the boys.  I got up and ready and headed to the church to teach my Zumba class.  We had a fun, sweaty time dancing and chatting this morning!  While I was there, Adrian got Zak ready for his soccer game and took him there.  His team won again, although Zak didn't play very well.  He said his leg hurt and that he couldn't play but we think he was just being stubborn because he didn't want to be there.

When we all got home, we decided on what we were going to do for the day.  There were a ton of Halloween events going on so we had to pick and choose what we were going to do.  We decided to skip the afternoon ones to stay home and chill and then go to the drive in tonight for their Halloween event.  We spent the afternoon relaxing and getting a few things done around the house.  We all had dinner together and then got packed up to head to the drive in.  After waiting in a super long line, we finally got in and got our spot.  I took Daniel and Zak to do the trunk or treat and collect some candy while looking at the trunks.  Adrian and AJ set up our spot so we were ready to watch when we got back.  We stayed for both movies and watched "The Adams Family" and "Casper."  They were both cute movies and we enjoyed them, although we did get a little cold towards the end of the second one.  After the movies, we headed home and pretty much went straight to bed since it was so late.
Sunday (10/20) We all slept in a little since we were out late last night.  We had trouble getting moving since we were so tired and Adrian and I were both a little sore after sitting in the camp chairs for so long last night.  We decided to skip church and all of the Halloween activities today and have a relaxing day at home.  We got a bunch of stuff done to get ready for another busy week.  The boys finished all of their homework and got a lot of video game time.  They also helped us do a few things around the house, including officially finishing cleaning out the toy room and game closet.  Adrian and I watched a lot of football in between doing stuff around the house.  After we had dinner together, Adrian and AJ headed out to one of AJ's Scout friend's Eagle Scout ceremony.  They had a nice time celebrating that accomplishment and when they got home, we got the boys thru their night routine and in bed for the night.  Then we watched the Cowboys game before heading to bed too.  So glad they won big against the Eagles, hoping they will have a great season from here on out!

Monday (10/21) Back to the grind!  We all got up and moving on time this morning.  Adrian helped me get AJ ready and on the bus before realizing his back was hurting too bad to go to work today.  He headed back to bed while I got Daniel ready and dropped off at school.  Then I came home and got Zak and myself ready for the day.  I tried to get him on the bus, but we somehow missed it so I dropped him off at school on my way to Eastpointe to sub in their preschool again.  After a fun morning with the preschoolers, I headed into West to sub in a 3rd grad class for the rest of the day.

The day passed quickly and before long we were all home for the day.  Adrian and I got them thru their homework and let them wait on dinner since Zak's soccer practice cancelled due to the weather today.  Adrian and I ate a delicious dinner and then I headed back to Eastpointe to teach my Zumba class.  We had a great class, the playlist was super fun tonight!  While I was at class, Adrian took AJ to Scouts where they started gun safety for their upcoming camping trip.  After we all got home, we got the boys thru their night routine and down for the night.  Then Adrian and I finished up a few things around the house while watching some of the Jets game.  I got bored around halftime since we were losing so bad, so we watched a comedy from last week and then headed to bed for the night.

Tuesday (10/22) Another typical day for us.  We got up and moving on time but were moving a little slow so I drove AJ and Daniel to school this morning while Adrian headed into work.  Then I came home and got myself and Zak ready and we headed into school together for the day.  I subbed in kindergarten all day and had a really great day.  After school, we came home and quickly picked up AJ to head out to his med check with the pediatrician.  Adrian met us there and took Zak to bowling while I did the appointment with AJ.  Then we all met at home to have a quick dinner before I headed back out with Zak to his Scout meeting.  We had fun making slime and learning about mucus at the meeting and our Wolves completed two belt loops tonight.  When we got home, we got the boys thru their night routine and down to bed.  Then Adrian and I finished up a few things in the kitchen, watched two comedies and headed to bed too.
Wednesday (10/23) We got up and moving on time again today.  Adrian helped me get AJ ready and on the bus and then he left for work.  I dropped Daniel off at school and then came home and got Zak and myself ready for our day.  I dropped him off at school and then headed out to do the grocery shopping and teach my two classes at the Y.  I switched my day off from subbing to Wednesdays so I can teach Zumba Toning and Aqua Zumba at the Y today.  Both classes were great and I had an awesome time with the students!!  After class, I finally got to Costco to stock up on some things we've been running low on.  I finished up just in time to head back to the schools to pick up the boys after school today.

I dropped the boys all off at home and headed back into the school to teach my Zumba class there.  When that was over, I was exhausted and hungry so I headed home and made pasta for all of us for dinner.  Then I got the boys thru homework and had them help me put away all of the groceries I bought today.  Adrian came home from work, grabbed a quick dinner and then headed out to Rocky's last day of puppy preschool.  When he got home, we got the boys thru their night routine and down for the night.  Then we finished up a few things around the house and settled in to watch this week's "Survivor" before heading to bed.
Thursday (10/24) We got up and moving on time today and were actually a little early for everything this morning.  Adrian helped me get AJ ready and on the bus before he headed out to work for the day.  I dropped Daniel off at school and came home to get Zak ready for the day.  I dropped him off at school and then enjoyed a rare day off from subbing.  I finished up the grocery shopping for the week and then came home and finished a ton of stuff around the house.  I stay focused and got a ton of stuff done and before I knew it, it was time for the bus to drop AJ and Daniel off and then for me to walk up to pick up Zak.

We quickly got thru homework and dinner and then the boys had video game time while I headed out to the church to teach my Zumba class.  I had a fun class and we got a great workout doing Zumba Toning.  Adrian got stuck at work late and got home at the same time that I did after Zumba.  When we all got home, we got the boys thru their night routine and in bed for the night.  Then we did a few things around the house and watched a little of the football game before we also headed to bed for the night.

Keeping Up With...Food (Meal Plan for Oct 20 - Oct 26)

After taking nearly a month off from meal planning, I'm back to it today!  Well I haven't actually taken any time off of meal planning, I just haven't had time to blog about what we are eating.  I have still planned all of our meals over the past month, mostly around the veggies we are still getting from our CSA.  Some weeks I didn't blog because the recipes weren't super exciting, it was just grilled meat and whatever veggies we had.  Some weeks were a lot of salads, sandwiches and leftovers because we have been running like crazy!

I also took advantage of a huge deal and did three meals from "Hello Fresh" two weeks ago.  We have used this service in the past on a deal and thought it was OK but expensive.  We thought the same thing after this time.  I only paid $24 for 3 meals for the two of us which wasn't too bad.  However, the meals are portioned for only two people so we had no leftovers for lunch and I still had to cook other food for the boys (not uncommon, but still something to consider).  The meals we picked were delicious, but they were also super high in calories.  My favorite was the baramundi fish from Australia, it was so good!  But it's nearly impossible to find that kind of fish here in OH so not sure when we'll be able to have it again.

I have been struggling to find my groove between working a lot and the boys being super busy.  There are a lot of nights when I don't have time to cook, or don't want to cook.  The mornings are jam packed so it's hard to set up a crock pot meal before work.  We are trying our best to eat healthy but it can be really hard.  This weekend wasn't nearly as busy as the past few weekends have been so I actually got some prep done (veggies cut for tomorrow, chicken cooked for salad, etc) and feel better going into this week than I have in a while.  I'm hoping this can continue!

Here's what we're eating this week:
Sunday - Squash and Black Bean Enchiladas
Monday - Coconut Chicken Stew (recipe from my friend) - will go in the crock pot in the morning
Tuesday - Cabbage Salad with Ginger Shrimp
Wednesday - Thai Chicken Salad
Thursday - Asian Pork and String Beans
Friday - Green Chili Chicken
Saturday - Probably either leftovers or sandwiches.  Adrian will be camping so I'm not going to worry about cooking something just for me

Water Flavor - Strawberry Lime.  I have some leftover limes from the Hello Fresh meals so used those up in my water this week along with some frozen strawberries.

Overnight Oats - I took a few weeks off from these but I have been missing them so I'm back at it this week.  I ran out of almond milk so I only set up one batch this week, but I'll be back to doing them every week now.  I also noticed in my pantry that I have healthy rice krispy rolls so I'll be eating those for some of my breakfasts as well.

Use It Up - I used up some squash and black beans in today's dinner.  The rest of the meals are all planned around the veggies I have in the fridge that I need to use up.  I'm also focusing on cleaning out the deep freeze one shelf at a time and in the next two weeks I'll finish up the chicken shelf and then move on to pork.

Lunches - I'll mostly be having salads for lunch this week.  I have a lot of tomatoes and peppers from the CSA so I'll use those up in the salads for the week.

Keeping up with...Family (Weekly Wrap 10/11 - 10/17)

Friday (10/11) We survived another week!!  We all got up and moving this morning on time.  Adrian helped me get AJ and Daniel ready for school and then he headed into work.  I dropped them both off at school and came home to get myself and Zak ready.  My friend picked Zak up and took him to school early with her while I headed into the church to sub in the preschool for the morning.  I had a great morning there and then headed into West to sub for the afternoon in a 2nd grade class.  It was a great class and the day passed quickly.

When we all got home from school, we got a surprise and Adrian was here.  He was supposed to go to his board game group after work but we had the day wrong so there was no meeting tonight.  So he took the boys to the trampoline park for an hour since we had a Groupon we needed to use and the boys have been asking to go.  While they were playing, I got a bunch done around the house.  When they got home, Adrian got ready and headed out to meet some friends to play games for a few hours. The boys played video games and I worked on catching up around the house.  I let the boys stay up later since it's not a school night and they were being really good.  The night wasn't super exciting but it was super productive and exactly what we all needed after a busy week!!
Saturday (10/12) We slept in a little and then got up and moving for our day.  I headed out to church to teach my Zumba class and then go to my Bible study.  I am loving how I start my Saturday mornings!  While I was there, Adrian took Zak on a Cub Scout field trip to see the mounted police barn downtown.  Zak enjoyed learning about how to horses help to keep us safe, petting them all and seeing the barn cats.
We all met at home and had a quick lunch together before splitting up again.  I headed across town to go to another Zumba jam and it was epic!  I had so much dancing, learning and laughing with my ZIN friends and the awesome jammer that came today.  I can't wait to bring all 4 of the songs to my classes!  While I was having a sweaty fun time, Adrian and the boys did a few things around the house and then headed to my brother's house for the night.  I met them there and we had a great family night.  The kids played while the adults chatted.  We all enjoyed delicious food, pasta for the kids and chili for the adults.  We hung out for a while and then headed home since we were all pretty tired and it was getting late.  When we got home, we got the boys thru their night routine and then down to bed.  Then Adrian and I watched some football and a few comedies before heading to bed as well.  It was a great Saturday!!
Sunday (10/13) We all slept in again today, although I still had to set an alarm to get up and moving.  I had to be at the Y early for my CPR re-certification course.  I was there for about 5 hours and passed both the written & practical tests and am certified for the next 2 years!  While I was there, Adrian and the boys worked around the house and ran a few errands, including picking up Halloween donuts and new Halloween decorations.  When we all got home, we finished as much as we could around the house since there was a lot to get done.  AJ went to Martial Arts tonight and had a great time there!  We finished up everything the boys needed to do and got them thru their night routine and down for the night.  After they were down, Adrian and I watched the Jets/Cowboys game together.  It sucks that we had to cheer against each other today, but thankfully it only happens once every four years.  It was a great game and I'm glad the Jets pulled out a win!!

Monday (10/14) Happy Columbus Day!!  This is our favorite holiday of the year because Adrian has off and the kids still go to school.  I took the day off as well so we could have a date day.  Unfortunately, we still needed to get up early since we had to get the kids out to school this morning.  We slept in a little bit since AJ wasn't going to take the bus this morning, but still got up earlier than I would like on a day off.  We got the boys ready and I dropped AJ and Daniel off at school and then we got Zak on the bus.  We had a lazy start to the morning after that, enjoying some coffee at home and getting a few things done.

Then we headed out to Easton for the day.  We started at Trader Joe's and restocked on some of our favorite wines, then headed to Cooper's Hawk for a wine tasting and lunch to use up our loyalty reward.  After lunch, we walked around Easton a little bit doing some window shopping and dropped my wedding ring off for some maintenance.  We finished up with a stop at Jeni's for some ice cream before heading home for the day.  We were both exhausted so we took turns napping while the other person took care of the boys when they got home from school.
After we both got some rest, we got ready for our busy night.  We all had a quick dinner and then I headed out to the church for my Zumba class.  While I was there, Adrian fed the kids and got AJ ready for Scouts.  Then he headed out to puppy preschool with Rocky for the night.  Adrian's friend picked him up for Scouts and he had a great meeting getting ready for their upcoming camping trip.  I picked him up after Zumba and enjoyed putting faces to the names I've heard over the past few years.  When we all got home, we got thru the boys' night routine and got them down to bed.  Then Adrian and I did a few things around the house before watching two comedies and heading to bed.

Tuesday (10/15) Back to our normal routine today!  We got up and moving on time and AJ was up early enough to catch the bus to school.  Adrian left for work soon after him and then I drove Daniel to school.  I came back and got Zak and myself ready for the day and then got him on the bus before heading out to do some quick grocery shopping this morning.  After grabbing what I needed, I headed home to drop everything off and unpack the fridge and freezer stuff.  Then I headed to the Y to teach my Aqua Zumba class and my Silver Sneakers.  This is the last week of the session so it's the last week for these two classes.  I'll switch to Wednesdays next week.

After my classes, I headed to the schools to pick up all three boys and get ready for our busy night.  After I picked everyone up and figured out homework, I took Zak to bowling.  He bowled pretty well and had a great time, as always.  Then we headed to our Scout meeting where one of the local fire departments came to visit and teach us about fire safety.  While we were there, Adrian got the boys thru dinner and homework and finished putting away the groceries.  When we all got home, we got the boys thru their night routine and down to bed for the night.  Then we watched two comedies while having our snacks and headed to bed too.  We have a very early morning tomorrow!

Wednesday (10/16) We all had to get up and moving quickly today because our goal was to be out of the house by 7:15 to go on Daniel's field trip to Biztown.  We got up on time, but unfortunately everything went wrong from there.  AJ missed his bus so we had to drive him, which caused that trip to be longer.  It was raining so traffic was bad and Rocky would not go outside to go to the bathroom so she pooped in the house and we had to clean that up.  We finally were all out of the house by 7:30 and were only about 15 minutes late to Biztown so I'm calling it a win!
Adrian and I spent the day volunteering while Daniel's class and 3 other 5th grade classes came to Biztown for the day.  Daniel was the CFO of Kroger and said his job was awesome.  I helped the kids in Donato's and Adrian helped the kids in ODW Delivery Services.  We all worked hard but had a great day!  It's such a neat concept for the kids to learn about the economy, way more creative than just being the classroom reading about it.  After we finished there for the day, we took Daniel home with us and moved on to our busy night.
I dropped Adrian and Daniel off at home and then headed to the school to sub for the last 2 hours of the day and then teach a Zumba class there.  It was a small group, but we had a blast and laughed the whole time.  While I was there, Adrian picked up Marco's pizza for dinner to support the school and then got everyone thru homework and dinner.  I came home and picked up Zak and headed out to practice in the cold and rainy weather while Adrian headed to his Bible study.  When we finally all got home, we finished up a few things around the house and then got the boys down to bed.  Everyone was really tired from the early start this morning!  Adrian and I watched "Survivor" and then we also headed to bed.

Thursday (10/17) Another normal day this week, although this week feels like it has been all over the place!  We all got up and moving, although we were all moving pretty slow.  AJ didn't feel like taking the bus so Adrian helped me get him and Daniel ready and then he headed into work.  I dropped them at school and then came back to get Zak and myself ready for the day.  We headed in to West together since I was subbing for the day.  I was bounced around a few times due to a scheduling error, but managed to have a pretty great day.  When the day was over, I headed home and quickly got the boys thru homework.  Then I made dinner for all of us and we ate together for a change.  Then I headed to the church to teach a super fun Zumba Toning class while Adrian took the boys to get haircuts.  When we all got home, we did our normal night routine, got the boys down to bed, watched two comedies and headed to bed too.  It has been an exhausting week and it's only Thursday!!

Keeping up with...Family (Weekly Wrap 10/4 - 10/10)

Friday (10/4) We all have today off and we all slept in!!  It felt glorious to not have to set an alarm or get up and moving right away.  We had a lazy morning of coffee, video games and relaxation.  After we rested for a bit, we had a quick lunch and headed out to Lynd's farm for the day.  We picked some apples first, the melrose apples were delicious!  Then we headed over to the corn maze.  The boys decided they wanted to lead us thru the maze this year without our help and they did great.  We found all of the etching posts in just under an hour and found our way out as well.  When we finished the maze, the kids enjoyed playing on the bounce houses, in the play zone, riding the barrel train and climbing the giant dirt hill.
We were at Lynd's longer than we expected since we were having such a great time.  When we got home, it was nearly dinner time so we got that together quickly since we were all hungry after the long day outside.  After dinner, Adrian and I got a few things done while the boys played video games.  Then I headed out to the Scout pack committee meeting for a few hours while they finished up a few things around the house and got ready for family movie night.  When I got home, we watched "Incredible Hulk" the second movie in the Avengers universe.  We all really enjoyed it, it was better than Adrian and I remembered.  After the movie, we got the boys to bed, watched a few comedies and then headed to bed as well.  It was an awesome family day!!

Saturday (10/5) Another day off and we got to sleep in a little today, although not as late as yesterday.  I had to get up and moving to head to the church to teach my Zumba class.  I had a small but mighty class today and we had a great time!  Then I started my Bible study at church, I'm studying "How to Have a Mary Heart in a Martha World" with 5 other women from my church.  I am so excited to dig into this with these ladies!  While I was there, Adrian got a few things done with the boys and then they got ready to head out to the zoo for the afternoon.

When I got home, I grabbed a quick lunch and shower and then we all loaded up and headed to the zoo for the afternoon.  We had a blast for the few hours we were there!  We fed giraffes, saw both 4D movies, rode the dinosaur island ride and saw a ton of active animals.  We got a lot of walking in as well and we all laughed a lot!  We stayed until the zoo closed and then we headed home for the night.  We had a delicious dinner of grilled steak for the adults and leftover Marco's pizza for the kids and then the boys had a video game marathon while Adrian and I watched OSU win another football game!!  When the game was over, we got the boys down to bed and then we followed soon after.  Another great family day!!
Sunday (10/6) We all got to sleep in one more day!  I feel so rested heading into this upcoming week.  We had a relaxing morning and then headed to second service at our church.  When the service was over, Adrian headed out to deal with his cracked phone screen while I took the boys home.  We had a quick lunch and then go to work on stuff around the house.  I got the boys thru all of their homework and the cleaning they needed to do.  We also decided on Halloween costumes and events for all of us.  The day passed quickly with lots of work around the house, football (boo that the Jets & Cowboys both lost!) and video games for the boys.  We had leftovers for dinner to keep it easy and finished a bunch of stuff on our to do lists.  It wasn't a very fun day for us, but it was necessary and we all feel better heading into this busy week!

Monday (10/7) Back to our normal routine today after an awesome three day weekend!  We got up and moving on time, probably because we are all so well rested after the days off.  Adrian helped me get AJ and Daniel ready and then he headed to work.  I drove AJ and Daniel to school and then came home to get Zak and myself ready for the day.  We headed into school together since I was subbing for the day.  I had a great day with my kindergarten class and the day passed very quickly!
After school, I came home and picked up Rocky to take her to her vet appointment.  She is doing great, growing on track, good behavior and got her next round of shots.  We came home after that and quickly finished up dinner and homework before moving on to our evening activities.  Adrian took Zak to soccer practice where he played great, probably because it's cooler weather.  Then he dropped Zak off at home and went to AJ's Scout meeting.  While he was doing that, I taught a giant Zumba class at the church.  We had so much fun dancing, laughing and getting a great workout.  When we all got home, we got the boys thru their night routine and down for bed.  Then Adrian and I watched some of the Monday Night Football game before we headed to bed as well.  It was a pretty great Monday!!
Tuesday (10/8) We got up and moving on time today although it wasn't as hurried as usual since Adrian worked from home for the day.  He had someone come to fix his C-PAP machine, so he worked from home for the day.  He helped me get AJ on the bus and Daniel dropped off, then he started working while I got myself and Zak ready for the day.  I put Zak on the bus and then headed out to do the weekly grocery shopping.  I ran home quickly and dropped the groceries off and then headed to the Y to teach my two classes.  I had a great time with my small but mighty Aqua Zumba class and Silver Sneakers class.

After I finished teaching, I headed to the schools to pick up AJ and Daniel.  Then we came home and picked up Rocky and walked her up to meet the secretaries at school and pick up Zak.  We all came home and started getting ready for our night activities.  Adrian took Zak to bowling, where he struggled because his teammate wasn't there so he got tired quickly.  When he finished up, they came home and we all had a quick dinner.  Then Zak and I headed out to our Scout meeting where we used glitter to learn about germs spreading and Twizzlers to learn how to tie knots.  When we all got home, we got the boys thru their night routine and down to bed.  Then Adrian and I finished up a few things around the house before watching two comedies and heading to bed.

Wednesday (10/9) We were back to our regular schedule today.  Adrian helped me get AJ and Daniel ready for school and then headed to work.  I dropped both boys off at school since AJ had his baritone home and it's hard to take it on the bus.  Then I came home and got Zak and I ready to head into school for the day.  I subbed in a 4th grade class today and had a great day with the kids!  Then we all came home and after a short break got quickly thru homework and dinner.  I was getting Zak ready for soccer when he threw up so we decided to stay home for the night.  I think he just ate dinner too quickly because about 15 minutes later he was fine and asking for more food.  I got a bunch of stuff done around the house and then started the boys on their night routine.  We were surprised with another change of plans when Adrian came home from work super late but not as late as if he had gone to his Bible study as planned.  He helped me put the boys to bed, finish up a few things around the house and then we watched Survivor together and headed to bed for the night.

Thursday (10/10) Another pretty regular day for us.  We all got up on time and Adrian helped me get AJ and Daniel ready for school.  We got AJ on the bus and then he headed to work for the day.  I dropped Daniel off at school and then came home to get Zak and myself ready for the day.  We headed into school together since I was subbing again all day.  I had a rough day with the K class I was in, but I survived.  When we got home, Adrian texted that he thought he would be stuck at work so I quickly got the boys thru homework and dinner so we were ready for the night.  Then I headed out to teach my Zumba class at the school.  Just as I was leaving, Adrian texted he was on his way home so while I taught an awesome class, he and Daniel started decorating the house for Halloween.  When I got home, we got the boys thru their night routine and down to bed.  Then we watched some of the Giants/Patriots game, until it got out of hand.  We watched one of our comedies and headed to bed since we were both exhausted after long days at work!
