Monday (6/26) I'm loving summer and not having somewhere to go most
mornings! We had a relaxing morning at home watching TV, hanging out
and getting ready slowly. Then we headed out to eye doctor appointment
for me and all three boys. They all went great, the boys have 20/20
vision. My eye sight got slightly worse and I now need bifocals. I was
not amused - although the print looked amazingly clear with those
lens. After we finished at the eye doctor we ran home for a quick lunch
before heading to the Y for AJ and Daniel's swim lessons.
We
got to the Y and got AJ and Daniel started in their lessons and Zak
swam in the open swim area. After lessons, AJ and Daniel joined Zak and
they swam for about an hour. No one asked me to swim with them, so I
happily sat, watched and played on my phone. I pulled them out to dry
off, get changed and have a snack before I had to get them checked in to
childcare so I could teach my Zumba class. After class, we headed to
Jersey Baptist Church for the first night of VBS for the boys. They are
excited for the space theme, I'm excited for some time to myself every
night.
I got home after drop off and was shocked to see
Adrian already home. He was supposed to be working late tonight so I
was not expecting him. We had a nice dinner together and then he went
to pick up the boys so I could get a few things done at home. On the
way home, they saw a double rainbow. The boys came running in to get me
when they got home so I could see it as well. It was a really nice end
to a pretty awesome day.
Tuesday
(6/27) Today was a day of new places for us! We started out at my
Silver Sneakers class in the morning and then hit the road to drive
across town to Delaware to check out the dinosaur themed park and splash
pads they have. The boys loved this park! We spent a few hours
playing in the water, having a picnic lunch and running around the play
ground. Lots of different things to do and plenty for all three ages
for my boys. And the weather was perfect for a day outside!
We
were all hungry after running around so I decided to stop by a place
I've been wanting to check out, the Cookie Dough Creamery. It did not
disappoint! You get to pick the cookie dough you want and then add
whatever toppings you want. I had chocolate chip and Oreo cookie doughs
with cake batter ice cream topped with Reese's Pieces, hot fudge and
peanut butter. It was delicious! The boys enjoyed it too, although
they didn't love the cookie dough and said they prefer Menchie's.
We
made a quick stop at the library to pick up some books and some coupons
from the summer reading program before heading home for a quick dinner
of meatball subs. Then I dropped the boys off for night two of VBS and
headed to another new to me place, Prost. It's a local bar that a few
friends were meeting at so I decided to go have a beer and chat with
them for a bit. We sat outside on the patio and it was so relaxing! I
should have been grocery shopping but this stop was way better! I wish I
could have stayed longer but I needed to leave to go back to pick up
the kids and get them home and to bed. It was a fun and tiring day of
new adventures for all of us!!
Wednesday (6/28) started
very lazy for us since we didn't have anything planned. We slept in,
the boys slept until after 8am. Then we hung out watching TV, playing
video games and getting a few things done around the house. It was a
nice respite in a busy week. We had a big lunch of pasta before heading
to the Y for swim lessons for AJ and Daniel and swimming for all of
us. It's working out nice to go swim in the afternoon then get dressed
and grab a snack before I teach my afternoon classes on Mondays and
Wednesdays. We'll keep doing it for most of the summer. Today some of
our friends were there so it was nice to the boys to have other kids to
play with and me to have other adults to chat with.
After
my class at the Y, we headed to night 3 of VBS for the boys. I dropped
them off then ran to Giant Eagle, Aldi & Meijer to do our grocery
shopping for the week. It was really nice not to have them with me
while I was shopping. I got everything done so quick and didn't spend
any extra money! I even got back to the church about 10 minutes before
pick up. After we got home, we had a quick snack and show and then were
surprised when Dad got home from work a lot earlier than we thought he
would. He helped do bath and bedtime with the boys before turning in
himself after a long week of work.
Thursday (6/29) I
hit the wall for the summer and did not feel like doing anything with
the boys today. So we went to my Silver Sneakers class this morning and
then came home and relaxed all afternoon. We watched TV, played video
games and got caught up on a few things around the house. It was
glorious. Adrian got home and I went to teach my Zumba class this
afternoon while he fed the boys and got them ready for the last night of
VBS. We dropped the boys off and then he and I went out for a dinner
date night. We went to a local Mexican place, Nuevo Leon for fajitas
and margaritas. It did not disappoint. It was really nice to have a
night to just relax and chat with Adrian after not seeing him much the
past two weeks. Plus I had so much less clean up to do since I didn't
cook dinner. It was a really relaxing day and I'm hoping the slower day
will help rejuvenate me for the weekend!

Keeping up with...Family (Weekly Wrap 6/23 - 6/29 - Part 1)
Friday (6/23) started the same way as most of the other days this week, slow and lazy until it was time to head to the gym for me to teach a class. When we came out of the class, it was downpouring and we didn't have any umbrellas with us! We made a quick run to the car and decided instead of running an errand, we would just eat our lunch in the car and play some of the video games that we had with us. After lunch, we dropped AJ and Daniel off to their last day of Minecraft camp and then Zak and I headed to Meijer to do some shopping.
We went back to pick up AJ and Daniel from camp a little early so we could see what they had been doing all week. They showed us the house they designed and a few of the challenges they did. They loved this camp and I'm glad we were able to make it work this summer. We made a quick trip to the video store to pick out 3 video games for the weekend and then headed to the Y for some swimming. We swam for about an hour and were getting ready to leave when they turned on the water slide. We are never there when they have it on and AJ and Daniel were so excited to slide. They did it a bunch of times while Zak and I swam and then I finally made them leave since we had to get home for dinner.
After a quick dinner, we settled in for family movie night. Daniel picked "Secret Life of Pets" so we watched that on Netflix. It was pretty good, a little different than what we all thought it would be like. But it was also funny and kept everyone's attention so that's a winner in our book. After the movie, we put the kids to bed and then Adrian and I settled in to catch up on "Younger" one of the shows we really like but couldn't watch when we didn't have cable for over a year. It was an early night for us since I have to work in the morning.
Saturday (6/24) I got up and moving because I had two Zumba classes that I was subbing to get to. I had a great time in both classes, although after I was really tired after a week of 10 classes. While I was gone, Adrian took the boys to buy a gift for Daniel's friend who was having a birthday party in the afternoon. We all got home, had lunch and then Adrian dropped Daniel off at the party and went out to do some shopping with AJ while I stayed home with Zak to get some stuff done around the house.
Daniel had a great time at the party - watching a magic show, playing with friends, playing Mario games and eating cake. Adrian and AJ bought a new tablet to replace the one Zak broke last weekend and also a new board game that they wanted after Origins last weekend. When we all got back home, we decided to have a simple dinner of sandwiches and salad and have a relaxing night of video games, TV and a few chores. It has been a long week (month really) for us and it's not over yet!
Sunday (6/25) We all slept in again and had a lazy Sunday morning. When we got up and moving, Adrian and I started to get stuff done around the house while the boys helped us a little and played a little. After lunch, I got some time to myself to go to a Zumba jam. I've talked about them on here before but I don't feel like digging thru to find the links so I'll summarize here. I go for 3 hours of dancing with other Zumba instructors to learn 4-5 songs from a Zumba jammer. My favorite jammer Kaitlyn was here today with her boyfriend Rony who is also a jammer. They taught us four songs and I love them all! I can't wait to use all four in my upcoming classes. I have another jam coming up in a few weeks and I can't wait to dance with everyone again.
After the jam, I was pretty tired but I pulled it together to help Adrian get dinner together. We grilled steak and corn and the boys had sausages. It was all delicious. We finished up a few things around the house that needed to be done and finished our weekend with a family board game night. We played "Clank" the game we bought Adrian for Father's Day but didn't have a chance to play last weekend. It took us a while to get started but it's a pretty fun game. After the game it was our normal routine of snacks, shows and bedtime.

Keeping Up With...Fitness Goals (June Recap & July Goals)
Again, I crushed it in the family goals for this month, the fitness ones were just OK. I've said it before and I'll say it again, it's hard to balance my own personal fitness with our busy family life and my work schedule. I will say that I did have a great week of exercise when I taught 15 classes in 11 days and on the one day off from teaching I attended a three hour Zumba jam. It was exhausting but also a lot of fun! I am barely working out over Fourth of July weekend and plan to enjoy every minute of rest.
Here's how I did last month:
1. Lose 4 lbs this month, which is 1 lb per week - I didn't lose a pound this month. Then again I didn't gain so I guess that's good. I am pretty disappointed because I worked really hard for most of the month. But I didn't gain anything so I'll hold on to that.
2. Do measurements at the end of the month & lose 1 inch total from my body (1 inch for 3 months) - I finally remembered to do my measurements this month! Since I'm pretty much the same weight as I've been I wasn't expecting a lot of movement here. I was surprised to see that I lost half an inch from each arm and from my waist. However, I gained an inch in my hips so over all I ended up gaining about half an inch. All in all I'm OK with this since I've been inconsistent the past few months. I'm not giving up, I'll keep working on it for sure!
3. Exercise a minimum of 30 minutes all 30 days this month (30 days for the month) - I exercised 27 days this month, that may be my highest total of days in a month ever. I'm really proud of how active I was in June, although it's fairly easy between walking, swimming and teaching.
4. Go to one class that I'm not teaching each week (4 classes for the month) - Hold on to your hats, I was able to accomplish this goal!! I went to Zumba with Nikki, Boom Muscle with Beth, Zumba Gold with Rachel, Zumba with Rachel plus the jam session with Kaitlyn and Rony. I am so excited I was able to accomplish this goal!!
5. Learn 3 new songs to add to my Zumba classes (3 songs for the month) - I learned two this month - "Freedom" and "Yo No Puedo Mas." I did learn 4 new songs at the jam which I will be adding to my classes over the next few weeks so lots of new choreo coming soon!
6. Go to two Aqua Zumba classes at the Y this month (2 classes for the month) - So I actually went to the Y for Aqua Zumba two different days this past month, but both times it was cancelled. It's a little frustrating that the class cancels so often, but I understand why it has to cancel. I'm still hoping to get to a few classes this summer!
Since it's summer I'm not going to focus too much on my fitness goals this month, rather choosing to focus on family and fun. We have a lot going on this month and I have cut way back on the classes I'm teaching this month. I'll still keep active, just maybe a little more walking and swimming with the boys and less going to classes and teaching. I know it's the right decision for this month!
Here are the few goals I'll be working on this month:
1. Maintain my current weight this month (0 lbs gained or lost for the month)
2. Do measurements at the end of the month & maintain current measurements (0 inches gained or lost for the month)
3. Exercise a minimum of 30 minutes 25 days this month (25 days for the month)
4. Go to one class that I'm not teaching (1 class for the month)
5. Learn 3 new songs to add to my Zumba classes (3 songs for the month)

Keeping Up With...Family Goals (June Recap & July Goals)
June was another awesome month around here! I hope you have enjoyed reading all of my recaps of all the fun things we've been doing this summer. June was the month of summer camps - Minecraft, sports & arts, Space VBS & Cub Scout day camp. Some days I feel like a taxi service, but the boys are loving it all so I'm happy to drive them around. We're also managing to squeeze in a lot of fun in between all of the camps. I'm having the best summer and I hope my boys are too!!
I honestly didn't think a lot about my goals for this month so everything that happened was really organic. Most of these goals have become a habit for us so we just do them naturally in the course of our daily living. I didn't hit all of the goals, but I hit a lot of them. I'm really proud of what we've been doing together as a family so far this year and I'm planning to keep this momentum going into the second half of the year.
Here's how I did with my goals for June:
1. Finish "Hungry Heart" and "The Odds of Loving Grover Cleveland" (2 of my 14 books for the year) - I finished "Hungry Heart" but only finished 25% of "The Odds of Loving Grover Cleveland." I think "Hungry Heart" just took me longer than I thought it would. Since we're halfway thru the year, I checked on my annual goal of reading 14 books this year as well. I've read 9 books already, way ahead of where I need to be to finish this goal.
2. Have family dinner every Sunday night and use AJ's conversation starters during it (4 dinners for the month) - We only got 3 dinners this month because Father's Day weekend we weren't home to eat together at all. We talked about the best part of AJ's birthday, something I'm wondering about and something that I recently did that made me proud. We're doing great with this goal!!
3. Continue doing my week in review blog (5 posts for the month) - I did 5 posts for this month, but I'm actually behind in my recaps. I'm only about halfway thru the month. I have 3 more posts written, I just need to publish them. I have been doing each week in at least two parts since it's summer and we have so much going on.
4. Continue taking one picture each day and posting on Facebook (30 pictures for the month) - Done! 30 pictures for the month of June & I'm up to date on 365 for the year.
5. Watch a movie every Friday night (5 movies for the month) - We watched four movies this month: Scooby Doo 2: Monsters Unleashed, Dr Strange, Secret Life of Pets and Monster Trucks. I'm very happy that we got this many in as there were a few weekends where we had very little time to watch movies. I can't believe how many movies I have watched this year already, probably more than the past 3 years combined!
6. Have one family board game night (1 special night for the month) - Done! We had a few nights where we played games, some as a family, some just a few of us. We have a lot of games, it's a little overwhelming. But we play them a lot so I guess it's nice to have variety.
7. Do one activity each week that AJ picks (4 special activities) - I definitely overshot with this goal. We couldn't do anything else the week of Cub Scout camp so the most we could have done is 3 this month. We did two of AJ's picks - Pokemon Go Adventure and Mini Golf at the course in Westerville. I owe him a trip to Hannah Park which we will do the first week in July
8. Do one activity each week that Daniel picks (4 special activities) - Daniel got all three of his picks - a pizza party & ice cream, swimming at the Y, and the Delaware splash pad.
9. Do one activity each week that Zak picks (4 special activities) - We did two of Zak's picks - Mini Golf at Magic Mountain and a play date at Chick Fil A. I owe him a trip to the Easton splash pads which we will do the first week in July.
10. See Captain Underpants as a family in the theater - Done. All three boys loved it, the adults did not. But the music was good and the kids all sat still for the whole movie so I'll call it a win.
All in all it was a pretty excellent month! We have filled our days with fun things that we are all enjoying as well as a little relaxation which is exactly what I think the summer should be. I plan to keep the fun going in July since it's our last full month off before school starts in mid-August.
Here are my goals for July:
1. Finish "The Odds of Loving Grover Cleveland" and start another book (TBD) (2 of my 14 books for the year)
2. Have family dinner every Sunday night and use AJ's conversation starters during it (5 dinners for the month)
3. Continue doing my week in review blog (4 new posts for the month) plus catch up on all of the June ones that I am behind on
4. Continue taking one picture each day and posting on Facebook (31 pictures for the month)
5. Watch a movie every Friday night (4 movies for the month)
6. Have one family board game night (1 special night for the month)
7. Do one activity each week that AJ picks (4 special activities)
8. Do one activity each week that Daniel picks (3 special activities)
9. Do one activity each week that Zak picks (4 special activities)
10. Have fun on our camping trip in the middle of the month
11. Go see "Despicable Me 3" together as a family
12. Have a fun long weekend for the 4th of July

Keeping Up With...Food (Meal Plan for July 3 - July 9)
Happy Fourth of July weekend!! Hope you are all enjoying the long weekend with family and friends. Adrian has tomorrow and Tuesday off from work and we are looking forward to a full weekend of fun. We spent yesterday getting stuff done around the house so that the next three days we can just have fun with the boys! I just wanted to pop in quickly to share what we're eating this week, plus it helps keep me on track with meal planning.
Last week I survived being on my own with the boys most of the week. I mostly stuck to our plan until the end of the week. Thursday night Adrian ended up getting off of work earlier than we thought and since the boys had VBS we went out for dinner together. It was a delicious local Mexican place and so nice not to have to cook for the night. Then Friday night we were all feeling very lazy so we decided to order Jets pizza to make our lives easier. It was so good!
Here's what we're eating this week:
Monday - Ribs slow cooked in the oven - we'll be in and out all day so this will be quick and easy
Tuesday - Taco Tuesday
Wednesday - Kale and Potato Soup - I will probably add sausage to this as well
Thursday - Parmesan Tilapia
Friday - Shake & Bake Chicken - I didn't get to this last week since our plans changed. I'm teaching 3 classes today so this is quick and easy to have with veggies for dinner
Saturday - Grilled Steak with whatever veggies we still have left - I'll be at a Zumba jam all day so this will be easy for Adrian to get ready for us for dinner
Sunday - Penne with Vodka Sauce - I'll probably add chicken or sausage
Water Flavor - Strawberry - I ended up buying a few too many of these this week so I'll use up some to flavor my water instead of freezing them
Overnight Oats - We have some left over from last week and I'm not sure what we'll eat over the next few days since we're off our regular schedule. I will hold off on setting any of these up until later in the week if we need them.
Clean it out Challenge - With the holiday I didn't really do anything for this challenge this week. I did use up all of the heels of bread in the freezer to make homemade breadcrumbs yesterday. And we're overstocked on fruits and veggies so I'll be using those up over the week as well.

Keeping up with...Family (Weekly Wrap 6/16 - 6/22 - Part 2)
Sunday (6/18) Happy Father's Day!! We all slept in a little and then
had a lazy Sunday morning of coffee, TV and video games. We gave
Adrian his Father's Day gifts early since Daniel had a baseball
tournament and we weren't sure how the rest of our day would go. We got
him "Plank" the board game he wanted and a new chair for sports,
camping, etc. I also told him that his tickets for Origins yesterday
were covered as part of his gift. I made turkey reubens for lunch and
then it was time to head out for Daniel's first game.
Adrian took Daniel to his game while I stayed home with AJ and Zak. They were having a video game day while I tried to get a few things done around the house so we'd be ready for another busy week. Adrian was texting me updates during the game but unfortunately Daniel's team lost (to probably the best team in the tournament). So they had to play again about an hour later. Adrian opted to just stay out at the field. Daniel's team basically had to keep playing until they lost and since they never did, they ended up playing 4 games today! They won the last three so they will play again tomorrow, one game for sure and two if they win.
I got a bunch of stuff done around the house while they were gone. They didn't get back from the field until after 9pm so it was a later night than we were expecting. We finally got the boys down to bed and Adrian and I finished off with a little leftover ice cream cake and some DVR. Not the Father's Day we had planned but it seems like he still had a good weekend and that's what's important.
Monday (6/19) We were trying to get back to real life after our awesome week at day camp, but it's another busy week for us. I had to wake everyone up this morning so we could get to the Y on time to sub a Barre class for my friend. It was a great class but it was tough after not working out at all for over a week. We ran home after the Y to have a quick lunch and pack up for a busy afternoon and evening. Then we left again and I dropped AJ and Daniel off at Math Plus for their favorite week of the summer - Minecraft camp! They had a blast using strategy (and math) to solve different problems the teacher gave them.
While they were at camp, Zak and I went to the library for a summer reading program. We laughed, danced and sang with The Queen of Fun. He really enjoyed all of the songs and I enjoyed watching him dance around. It also earned him extra points for the summer reading program. We picked up a few new books and then headed over to Kroger to restock our fridge/freezer/pantry before heading back to pick up the boys after camp. Then we headed to the Y for me to teach class number 2 of the day, Zumba this time.
After class, we headed out to the baseball field for Daniel's championship game. I was volunteering in the concession stand so I watched from there. In the bottom of the second inning a thunderstorm blew in and we had a rain delay. Adrian and I decided we needed to take AJ and Zak home since everything was wet and muddy. So I left to take them home and get some things done around the house while Adrian stayed to watch the game. It was an awesome game but Daniel's team came up one run short, 13-12. They still won the league championship, just not the tournament. After a long day, we watched a little TV and then went to bed early.
Tuesday (6/20) I can tell everyone is exhausted because I had to wake them up to get to my 10am class on time. I was overwhelmed in that class, I had 33 people and had to turn a few away because we didn't have any equipment or space left!! After class, we came home for a quick lunch together and then headed out to drop off AJ and Daniel at Minecraft camp day 2. Zak and I ran to Giant Eagle for some food shopping before heading to the Y for some swimming. I decided not to swim today since I have to teach another class tonight. Zak swam with some friends for about 30 minutes before swim lessons and did a great job. He got another 15 minutes after class to swim on his own. I'm so proud of how much he's improving in the water!!
After swimming, we changed into dry clothes and went to pick up AJ and Daniel. We then headed to Family Video to get our 10 free rentals and 2 free pizzas for good grades. Each boy picked a video game and I got 2 pizzas and cheesy bread for them. We jumped in the car and headed to Krispy Kreme to continue redeeming freebies and get our 12 free donuts. Now I have dinner, dessert, breakfast tomorrow & lunch tomorrow covered!! We ran home and they ate a quick dinner of pizza and donuts while I got us ready to head out to class number 2, subbing a Zumba class for my friend.
After class we came home and were surprised to find Adrian home and not having to work tonight. He is in the middle of the busy budget season and we thought we wouldn't see much of him this week. He cooked dinner for he and I while the boys enjoyed playing their rented video games. We cleaned up a little, worked on the remaining things on their summer chore charts and headed up to bed. These summer days go by quickly!!
Wednesday (6/21) started slow and lazy with a rare morning that we had nothing planned. We all slept in until almost 8am and then hung around the house all morning. The boys played their rented video games before we need to return them later today while I cleaned up a bit around the house. We had lunch and headed out to day 3 of Minecraft camp for AJ and Daniel. While they were at camp, Zak and I met our friends at Chick Fil A for a play date. The kids had fun playing in the (sound proof) play area while Nikki and I chatted and watched Zumba videos. It was a great play date!
After that we picked up AJ and Daniel and headed to the Y for my Zumba class. When class was over, we headed back towards home and made stops at Dollar Tree and Aldi for a few things we needed. The Aldi trip was rough with all three kids, but we all survived. We got home and I made tacos for dinner. AJ kept saying instead of Taco Tuesday, it's Wacky Wednesday with tacos for dinner. Adrian was stuck at work late so it was just me for bedtime and clean up. I finally was able to sit down and relax with some popcorn and "Big Little Liars," which I am loving watching!
Thursday (6/22) we had another fairly slow start although I did have to get to work by 10am. I taught my class and then we ran home for a quick lunch before dropping AJ and Daniel off to day 4 of Minecraft camp. Zak and I headed straight to the Y to do some swimming while they were at camp. We swam outside for about an hour, then came inside for his last lesson of the summer. His teacher from last session saw him and commented that he really can't believe that is the same kid. He's doing great - jumping in, going under, swimming, floating, etc. I'm really proud of him!
After swimming, we went back to pick up AJ and Daniel from camp. Then we had about an hour to kill before my second class of the day. We ran a few quick errands and then met Adrian at my job so I could teach and he could take the boys home. When I got home from work we shockingly were all home with nothing to do. We thought about going to a park or something but decided a night on the couch sounded way better.
Adrian took Daniel to his game while I stayed home with AJ and Zak. They were having a video game day while I tried to get a few things done around the house so we'd be ready for another busy week. Keeping up with...Family (Weekly Wrap 6/16 - 6/22 - Part 1)
Friday (6/16) Last day of Cub Scout Day Camp!! We were all very tired and slow moving this morning but we got out and got up to camp in plenty of time. Adrian was able to take the day off and come with us to get a little taste of the camp. He walked with AJ and they did BB guns, Gaga Ball and made a paracord bracelet that has steel, flint, a compass and a whistle in it. It is pretty cool! AJ had a good time doing everything, although he got upset during BB guns because he was having a hard time hitting the target. I walked with Daniel and we hiked down the hill one last time where they did water fun, troop games and sling shot. Daniel loved sling shot and begged me to do it as well, which I happily did again. Zak went to sibling circle for the morning and he made a fun tie dye shirt.
After all of our activities, we went to the closing ceremony on the very hot hill. It was a little hard to hear, but all of the Arrows did different skits. AJ's group did a great job with theirs, they worked very hard on it. When the ceremony was finished and camp dismissed, we made one more stop at the Kona ice truck and then headed home for the day. It was an amazing and fun week but also exhausting. I'm so glad I was there to experience the whole thing with the boys and can't wait to go back again next year!!
Once we got home and everyone had lunch, we pretty much decided to just rest and recuperate the rest of the day. The boys played some video games, I did a few things around the house and Adrian had to work for a few hours. I slow cooked some ribs for dinner which came out awesome! Then Adrian had to take Daniel to his final baseball practice of the season. They have a tournament this weekend so coach wanted to make sure they were ready to go! I stayed home with the other two and had them in bed early since AJ has another early morning tomorrow. We all went right to sleep when our heads hit our pillows!
Saturday (6/17) started early for Adrian and AJ because they headed downtown to the Origins gaming conference. Unfortunately for me, Daniel and Zak didn't get the memo that we could sleep in so we were all up pretty early as well. We had a slow start to the morning and then we got ready for Daniel's first baseball game. His team won easily and we rushed home for some lunch and some A/C before game two later in the afternoon.
We headed back to the field for game two in the afternoon and it turned out we were playing a team that has a lot of Daniel's friends on it. He was bummed we had to play against them again. Once again, the team won pretty easy. Adrian and AJ drove out to pick up Daniel and take him back downtown to the Origins conference since he didn't want to miss out on it. I came home with Zak and we enjoyed a very quiet night of take out Chinese (for me, McDonald's for him), video games and TV. I would have gone to bed early, but he did not want to go to bed without his brothers.
The three guys finally got home from Origins close to 11pm. They had a blast!! They walked around and saw a bunch of stuff, although it was no where near everything that was there. AJ and Daniel both battled different gym leaders in the Pokemon Sun and Moon tournament. And all three of them played "True Dungeon" which is basically a real life "Dungeons and Dragons" game. They were teamed up with another group of four people and they had to go on an adventure together. Their team won their adventure, just barely escaping alive. They won a bunch of tokens and one of the ones they got is worth $150! They were all excited when they came home and want to go back tomorrow but we have a full day already. So now they are making plans for next year's conference.
